When Hurricane Maria caused massive destruction to Puerto Rico in September 2017, at DSW Homes we knew we could apply our disaster recovery expertise in helping the island bounce back.
Earlier this month, DSW Homes started working in the Tu Hogar Renace Program (translation, “Your Home is Reborn”). We anticipate working in this program for the duration of 2018, supplying minor repairs that will allow residents to live in their lives until more extensive repairs can be made.

This month marks the conclusion of DSW Homes participation in the Texas PREPS program. The program was instituted by FEMA and the Texas General Land Office in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey to help Texans make partial repairs to their homes, allowing them to shelter in place until further repairs can be made.

What is the RREM Program NJ?
The Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation (RREM) Program in New Jersey dispenses up to $150,000 in grant funding assistance to eligible New Jersey homeowners. The RREM Program in NJ is intended help home owners restore and lift their primary residence damaged by hurricane Sandy. The Pathway B program in NJ was developed to enable homeowners to work with a pre-qualified FEMA Approved contractor to undertake the construction.
