Deep East Texas Disaster Recovery ProgramDeep East Texas Council of Governments, Disaster Recovery Program Round 2, Hurricanes Ike and Dolly—March 2014-Present

The Deep East Texas Council of Governments (DETCOG) is an association comprised of a group of 12 counties in eastern Texas. Like many of the counties near the coast, these counties were greatly affected by Hurricanes Ike and Dolly. DETCOG’s Disaster Recovery Program Round 2 will provide funding via the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. These funds, administered by the Texas General Land Office, are for the demolition, reconstruction, rehabilitation and in some cases elevation of single family dwellings, both owner-occupied and rental properties. This program seeks to restore the region’s housing not provided for by FEMA, insurance or other funds.
