How many years have you been with DSW?

Jose:

Project manager in the Houston office for DSW exactly four years four days.

Can you describe a typical day at DSW?

Jose:

Scheduling, problem solving, confirming schedules or just always on the phone.

What do you find to be the most fulfilling about your job?

Jose:

Key turnover, when I hand over the keys to the homeowner. That's what fulfills me because I'm making someone's day or you know they've been out in a hotel for two months or whatever the case is they're uncomfortable now they're home and into their new home.

What skills do you think are essential for success in your job?

Jose:

Problem solving and multitasking.

What challenges have you encountered in your roll?

Jose:

Not every day is just how you plan for it to be. We do get bumps in the road, issues, and the thing is we have to resolve it then and there. We can't put it off because if we put it off, the problem just gets bigger. Once we encounter the issue, resolve the issue.

Is there an accomplishment you are particularly proud of in your career?

Jose:

I don't have a specific one. I'm just happy if at the end of the project if I've met my goals, as in building in the timeframe I was supposed to build it, being within my budget, and making homeowner happy.
